The amount of remote sensing data from the Earth's observing satellites is impressive and has increased dramatically during the last few years. Satellites continuously stream data to support fields such as early warning applications, urban planning, land use, security and defense, and emergency management. 

Sponsored by the National Space Program, the Centre of Excellence for Satellite Applications - Muscat plans to conduct an introductory course on Earth Observation from Space at Sultan Qaboos University from 05-09 March 2023. 

The aim of this course is to familiarize the participants on where and how to use these satellite data sets.
